Can OCD be cured?

Most OCD sufferers can be helped to manage or even overcome their problems, with the help of specifically prescribed medication that acts on the Serotonergic system (SSRI's) at the right dose and/or psychotherapy treatments.

There have been recent successful developments on adapted forms of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), which may be in the form of a structured programme, tailored to the specific needs of the individual.
